Wanna be part of my art project?

Say yes!

I need photos of modded people for portrait paintings. I’m especially short on heavily modded people, but everyones appreciated. All sorts of mods; obvious things like tats and piercings, but also people like drag queens and plastic surgery too.

Its a massive ongoing project, and rather ambitious. I ran out of friends already, lol.

I need a straight-on-ish head&shoulders, fairly well lit photo. Pulling whatever face/pose you feel suits you, since its about personality and stuff, and poses need to be self-directed.
Pretty simple really
Dress up, gurn, smiley face, angry frown… whatever you like (one of my friends has a sombrero and moustache in theirs, lol) Just keep some mods visible and shoulders straight on (tilting heads is fine!).

Anyone wanting to help out would be deemed forever awesome. And of course I shall show the finished results!

Octopussy

I drew an otctopus! Sort of.. I kinda forgot what an octopus looked like, but oh well! Was good colouring practice, and yes I am still shite with watercolours.

It ws going to be a rather happy octopus getting a little too friendly with an anchor. But someone changed my mind, and it went from dubious substance to blood. I kinda liked the dubious-ness (and my octopus looked more octopussy then too)

Jewellery box

I wanted a new jewellery box. My toolbox went from holding 8 pairs of 5/8″ plugs per compartment to 1 pair or 1″, and it was overflowing before too… I REALLY wanted  an amazingly nice miniature set of drawers on ebay, went from a bargain to £30, and out of my price range.

This made me disappointed, so I decided to revamp my pencil/stationary/odd junk drawers and make a bit of a craft project out of it. VERSION 3.  They aren’t ideal, or a long-term solution (the drawers aren’t very deep, my dichro is rather a squish) I’d ideally like to pad it too, but that ain’t gonna happen! But they look nice and tidy. And at last everything can come out of its baggies without me worrying about it getting stuck in a slot and never finding it.

And onto the box! Lots of pics.

First I cleaned all the crap out of it… Sprayed the exterior of the drawers black, put in extra divers made of hardboard and card and lined the inside with super shiny pretty lime wrapping paper, lining the verticals carefully first, and glueing it down with PVA. After doing two drawers, I discovered I’d run out of lime paper, so it was either red foil paper or lime spray paint. I settled on paint, thinking if it failed, I could just stick red on top. Although I like the colour (and its a lot closer match irl), I really didn’t like the exploding paint can that refused to stop

I still have the exterior ‘case’ to spray. But thats a really simple job, and I couldn’t be bothered to move my stereo. I’ll probably get around to doing it next week.
