Okay, so this is a bit of a late idea, seeing as I finish uni in a few months. But at uni they have a pretty decent art gallery, The Summerfield Gallery, with some well known artists exhibiting every so often, as well as students. So in the future, I’m gonna take the time to go wander round and take some pictures of some of the more interesting things I find there.
Lately there has been the Jerwood Drawing Prize and Sam Taylor-Wood. At the moment its the turn of The Open West, and there are some pretty interesting things in there. So I should have some good photos up by next week. I think it will definitely be a installment thing. I sure am lazy with uploading photos. And I still haven’t done Berlin….
Next week is also Gold Cup week. I was going to go, but its £50 for a one day ticket in the Tattersalls, with £10 parking, no chance. But my friends got a job there, so maybe she’ll find me some photos.
Also coming up soon (May) is the Wychwood Festival, which is looking fairly good this year. Its an extended family trip thing, though I’ve never been, it always sounds pretty good. And there’s bound to be a small circus thing, and I do like circuses and odd cabaret. If all else fails, I shall just drown myself in the beer tent.
Heh, what d’ya know? More people visit my blog when I actually upload stuff. Whoever would’ve guessed? And seeing as I’m avoiding work, and rather bored. Here’s my 3rd post of the day.
Incase you didn’t know, I live in the countryside. In a forest.
And seeing as everyone seems to like pictures.. have some more. I took these on a little walk around earlier this week. Makes the forest look lovely. Pity the rest of its so run down. You’d think I lived somewhere completely idylic. But I actually live next to a playing field on the edge of town, next to a council estate and a slaughterhouse. Not so pretty now.
I had them printed for my sketchbook, and they just arrived yesterday. Very pretty. And they come in a nice little plastic box, very handy! I like to use Photobox.
I think they’re very nice pictures, though I probably should’ve messed around with the levels or saturation first. My fault. Point and click is so much easier.
