Now heres an oddity.. Human Ivory plugs by bettyraecase. I.e. finger/toenail clippings.
Now I like these. But I like oddities. But what do other people think? And what would they think of them if they weren’t made of fingernails?
They’re incased in resin, so the icky factor is gone for me. But other people still feel the need to go EW. I’m just.. failing to understand. People wear bone and horn jewellery, their only problems generally being ethical treatment of animals. But these seem to fall into an icky factor I don’t understand.
Anyway, she makes other human ivory items, like pendants and rings. Some with much cooler insides, in my opinion. I’d really quite like some bug ones.
Another thing she sells are belly button lint bears. Quite cute.. But I don’t know where she’s getting all the fluff to build the 2″ish high things. I wouldn’t collect that much fluff in a decade. Maybe she has a particularly lint-y navel? Or perhaps mine is abnormally unfluffy? Though its not like I go out of my way to clean it often.
Anyway, Etsy is full of cool and odd curiosities. I want. You should go check it out if you haven’t already. Frozenfire sells glass plugs on there too. There is the British equivalent of Folksy, which sells plenty of awesome stuff though its not as varied. Etsy shipping isn’t usually bad anyway.
I might actually buy this very nice Bronze Raven Skull Pendant. Etsy does well at satisfying my need for skulls and antlers. I still want a pair of antlers. I live in a forest full of deer, you’d think someone I know would of found some at some point :/
